Does UCI have a men's soccer team? ›

The UC Irvine Anteaters men's soccer program represents the University of California, Irvine in all NCAA Division I men's college soccer competitions. Founded in 1984, the Anteaters compete in the Big West Conference.

UCI's intercollegiate athletic program supports teams for 18 NCAA Division I sports — men's baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, track & field, volleyball, and water polo; and women's basketball, cross country, golf, indoor track & field, soccer, tennis, track & field, volleyball, and water polo.

Club Softball at UCI is a competitive, fast-pitch softball team.

The campus has produced five Nobel laureates and is known for its academic achievement, premier research, innovation and anteater mascot. Led by Chancellor Howard Gillman, UC Irvine has more than 36,000 students and offers 224 degree programs.

The Anteaters' main rivals are the Beach of Long Beach State. Program alumni include Portland Trail Blazers associate head coach Scott Brooks and professional football tight end Darren Fells.

Need-based and academic scholarships are available for student-athletes. Athletic scholarships are available for NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NAIA and NJCAA.
